Age & Canon Point: In canon, he was Six Sweeps (equivalent to about 13 years). Post-Garden History, he'll have aged a year, making him equivalent to fourteen years old (6.5 sweeps). As for canon-point, I'm going to go with right before he goes off to Seek The High-B100d. Which is when he dies.

Garden History: Equius was a good student, on the whole, following the rules of student conduct to the letter. He was socially isolated, between his alien appearance and his rather repulsive personality, but that's nothing new to him. However, without his moirail, Equius had a lot of trouble keeping his temper in check. Like, a LOT. He regularly had to seclude himself in the training area and punch the shit out of dinosaurs until he calmed down. He's also had trouble with the requisite weapons-training courses as well; his absurd STRENGTH ensured that any weapon he laid hands on broke almost instantly.
Abilities & Physical Abnormalities: Equius is a Troll, a grey-skinned and horned alien species that has more in common biologically with insects than with humans. Equius' blood is blue, and although his eyes currently have yellow sclera, as he matures they, too, will fill with a matching shade of blue. He is also exceptionally, ludicrously STRONG. So strong that he busts his own teeth whenever he grimaces (don't worry, they grow back). So strong that his sunglasses are perpetually cracked. So strong that giving him a high-five would likely result in shattering every bone in your hand. He can leap ridiculous distances, punch the heads clean off of monsters, etc. He doesn't need weapons, because his body is an extremely deadly weapon in its own right. The other unusual thing about him is that he sweats. A lot. Constantly. He has a persistent perspiration problem, one that worsens with excitement and requires frequent towelings-off.
Personality: Equius is a character consumed by contradictions. On the surface he seems to be a creepy, controlling douche, but on closer examination he's...well he's still a creepy and controlling douche but it's more complicated than just that!

Life for Equius is all about control. Controlling one's own actions, controlling the actions of those around you. I strongly suspect that it's related to his own need to keep his ludicrous STRENGTH under control; the need for physical and emotional control is translated into a need for social control. That's why Equius buys into Troll society's traditions and systems of social ideologies so strongly, specifically the hemospectrum: The caste system based on blood color, with rust-red at the bottom and tyrian purple at the top. Equius himself, naturally, sits fairly close to the top with his deep shade of blue. He both demands respect and fealty from those below him, and slavishly doles the same out to those above him (even when he really hates them, although in those cases it becomes this odd oscillation between his real feelings and the socially-mandated respect).

To those he considers his social inferiors, he is blunt and controlling, every statement an order to be followed. To those he considers his equals too, frankly. And he seems to get off fetishistically to being ordered around by a superior.

This obsession with social order extends beyond hemospectral deference. Equius is unfailingly polite, apologizing for his language after saying "darn" or "fiddlesticks", and is shocked by foul language in his friends and associates. Everything must be prim and proper with Equius, even when he's being a huge jerk.

At the same time, though, he has a literally fetishistic obsession with reversing this social order. And he has a really poor fetish-to-mouth filter, and even worse self-awareness of when he sounds like a major creeper. He is excited by the prospect of being ordered around by his inferiors, or of romance with a low-blood, just as he is by any sort of social scandal. He is both repulsed by and attracted to scandal. This leads him to paradoxically order people to give him orders. And I did mention that he has a really bad fetish-to-mouth filter, didn't I? A lot of his conversations take an unpleasant turn in this direction.

If he doesn't weird people out by getting off on their conversation, he's prone to weird them out by bringing up his other obsessions. He keeps the walls of his home covered in nude musclebeast portraits. Aka bizarre muscular horse porn. He also has an affinity for musclebeast milk, which he will let you know about in detail. None of this seems to be sexual per se, but it sure is weird.

He also has an abysmally short temper. Minor inconveniences send him flying into a rage, rages which he must usually settle by blowing off steam beating the hell out of something. For this reason he needs a pacifying influence in his life (in canon this is his moirail, Nepeta).

Underneath all this surface weirdness, creepiness, and aggression, though, he mostly means well. He can be downright helpful, constructing robotic bodies and body parts for friends, protecting Nepeta, cooperating with his teammates, etc. You just have to get past his surface oddity and his obsession with social order...which, admittedly, can be pretty tough.

What are your plans for the character in-game? Well, I've been in contact with your Nepeta and Vriska players about plans for the three of them. Vriska and Nepeta have become moirails in Equius' absence, so you can expect some romantic drama there.

What do you prefer to be known as? My full name is Equius Zahhak. I will permit any combination thereof. However, I detest nicknames. They are unseemly and foolish.
How old are you? I am six sweeps old. I am told that this is equivalent to thirteen of your human years.

Do you have any history in combat? Of course. Like all young trolls, I have been prepared from the day of my first wriggling to be a part of Her Imperious Condescension's armies.
If so, have you ever killed? ...is this question a joke?

i) How do you feel when you get involved in some project that calls for immediate and rapid activity? I...respond by acting in an immediate and rapid manner. Will all these questions be as ill-concieved as this?

ii) Do you organize and initiate leisure activities? I have, in the past, attempted to organize my peers for a tour of my gallery of nude musclebeast portraits. For some reason, they never expressed any interest.

iii) What role do you take when working in a group? As a blue-blood, I am naturally the leader, unless one of a still richer hue is present.

iv) How talkative are you around other people? I am generally quite taciturn. Usually I am content to simply observe, rather than participate.

v) What three things would you want to have with you on a desert island? State your reasoning. A fueled and operational aerial transportation device so that I may escape the island. The other two items are of no consequence.

vi) Is it important to be liked by a wide range of people? No. Obediance does not require being 'liked'.

vii) When the odds are against you, is it worth taking a chance? This question is a foolish waste of time. It can only be answered with knowledge of the odds in question, as well as the stakes. In isolation, it is meaningless.

viii) Do you consider yourself to be an impulsive person? No, although I will confess to having...something of a temper.

ix) Would you agree that planning things ahead takes the fun out of life? No. That is a notion so foolish, it is beyond foolishness.

x) Do you like surprises? I loathe surprises.

xi) Do you sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with you? My perspiration issues are a private matter, thank you.

xii) Do you consider yourself to be smarter than your superiors, and disagree with their decisions? It is improper to speak ill of one's superiors, even when they are loathsome, inebriated clown-obsessed buffoons. Therefore, I will decline to answer this question.

xiii) Lastly, how do you feel about cabbages? I have no idea what that is. Is it some form of human entertainment? If so, I despise it.
